Meadowbroook, 14th July 2008. Many businesses who have bought promotional clothing or uniforms this year will shortly realise that they can't claim a tax deduction for the purchase.
"Unless all items of uniforms supplied to staff carry the corporate emblem or logo, the item is not tax deductable" said Rashpal Cheema from Promotional Clothing Solutions. "One of the other common mistakes businesses make is when they buy high visibility shirts or tops they don't realise that if the person works outside, the shirt or top must come below the elbow to comply with safety standards" said Rashpal.
